Lynne Arnison is an artist who takes a keen interest in social documentary. Focusing mainly on people and their environments, she also likes to weave a narrative into her images. Inspirations and subjects for many of her works are derived from her strong working class roots in West Yorkshire. Despite growing up and living in a Northern climate she has strong use of colour in her work. Since 2008 Lynne has had a residency at Burton Agnes Hall. Her work from these residencies have resulted in her own particular interpretation of the architecture and the history of the Hall and gardens. Lynne has also shown work at Scarborough Open Exhibitions and had commissions. Lynne is currently Chairperson and Artist member of the Stephen Joseph Theatre shop in Scarborough. A selection of her original artwork, prints and cards are available at the theatre shop or via the 'contact me' page
